Head maquette

Small paper maquette of the puppet’s head.

Mouthplate

The foam on the upper and lower jaws will allow my fingers to grip it. There are two spots for the thumb, so the head can be worn on either hand.

Pattern cut out of black mesh.

Sewn Together

The mesh pieces sewn together with bias tape.

Ribs

Ribs made of hoop steel, sewn in place.
