"Sepiatone's Song" was filmed using the technique of Czech Black Theatre. All the lights in the studio were off, except for the two on either side of me. They both had black covers over them so that light could only escape through a vertical slit. This formed a "light curtain" that illuminated only what was held within it.
I was dressed all in black, in front of a black background, with a black hood over my head, and Julie -- whom you don't see because she's taking this picture -- was standing behind me, reaching around me to perform Sepiatone's hands.
Over a year elapsed between filming the video and actually finishing it, because that's how long it took to train my voice to hit the wide range of notes Kellen wrote for me.
